This list of elected officials is provided for your convenience. You should contact these individuals regarding tax issues or legislation that impacts the taxpayers of Illinois, including the Barrington area. For example, the taxes we pay to our local school district are not the whole story on costs - actions at the state level have an impact on the school costs, and therefore our local property taxes and our state income taxes.

Another example - in recent newspaper publications and ads on the radio the teachers unions, etc., have indicated that teachers pensions should not be cut but funded in their entirety. Did you know that the pension they get represents 70% of their average salary? It is computed based on their highest 4 consecutive years in the last 10 years? Most teachers pensions are well over $50,000 a year, double and sometimes triple what a social security recipient would get!

Please contact our state legislators and stop the tax increases!"
