Barrington Area Library
In 1915, the Barrington Village "library" was housed in the corner of a drugstore and was stocked with donated books and a volunteer staff. It grew to become a District Library and a taxing body in 1926 and now encompasses a 72-square mile area and serves portions of four counties including 14 townships.
